Chuck's Chat- Welcome to January 2022!
At the recent Kansas Farm Bureau annual meeting, Montgomery County Farm Bureau was recognized for exceeding the required criteria in the categories of Advocacy, Education and Service. Additionally, they were recognized for surpassing both membership and voting membership gain requirements.
Also, Montgomery, Crawford, Labette, Neosho and Wilson counties combined to receive the New Horizon Award, Education Division. A team from all of the counties combined to produce YouTube videos in lieu of the traditional in person annual Earth Day presentation.
These achievements would not have been possible without the continued efforts of the board of directors, the coordinator Kathy O’Brien, or the local Farm Bureau Financial Services agents and staff. Most importantly, thank you to the many members’ selfless involvement in local, county, and state affairs.

2022 has certainly started off much differently than 2021 ended. Cold, windy and a little snow actually managed to land here along the Northern Sycamore Urban Boundary. Perhaps we’ll see some other changes along the way. Let’s hope they’re all for the better.
Be smart. Be safe. Stay strong.
God Bless America
